Bertha Troskie, late 1940's

This Photograph of the artist’s Grandmother was one which hung on the Matriarchs bedroom wall next to a graduation picture of her husband for as long as the artist can remember. It encompasses the gentle grace with which she lived and loved, and is symbolic to all her brood of the generous kindness she embodied; and which she endeavoured to instil in us all.
