Bernice Troskie is a South African artist who draws on a diverse cultural heritage for inspiration in her work. This work encompasses various mediums, She also has experience in various fields including; , Tattoo Designs, Custom Designs for print, Murals, Acrylic, Oil and Water colour Paintings, Pen Drawings, Graphite & Pastel sketches, Website & Graphic design, Puppets, Masks, Origami and many more.

Her struggles with mental health and epilepsy has also informed much of her work. The exploration of what it means to be "healthy" in mind and soul is a journey which has given her inspiration and meaning.

“ It has been said that an artist is a shaman; someone who directs consciousness, marks out dangerous thoughts, and maps a safe path for others to follow. It is possible, however, that every human being has an artist inside of them. A child learns to draw out their thoughts long before they write them; and regardless of what direction one chooses, or which path was made possible in one’s life, a little flicker of that creative light remains forever. Keeping that light burning, bringing beauty into our lives, is part of what connects us to something greater than ourselves.

  It is often difficult for an artist to separate daily life and experience from their work and inspirations; each line and curve is a thought. Each shape, has its own story. Each completed work has a journey behind it. There are signs and symbols all around us, and their meaning in a Piece is not bound to what has traditionally been placed upon them, or even the personal philosophical view of the artist; because meanings grow, and become what those who meet them need, see, and experience. The flames of beauty surrounding us light up the path of life before us with the wisdom of past experiences and lessons learned.”
