This artwork (as with many in this series) has two names, The first one was "Susurration", but the second seemed to be more descriptive of the piece.

Part of the series; “The Desert in a cup of coffee”, this is the second piece. In it one sees the solitary figure of a goat-herd. The title; “Susurration” is descriptive of the noisy silence of any wilderness, as the wind whispers softly to it. The second title; “The Night Guard” refers to the lonely work of all those who stand, at their own peril, against all the darkness which waits to engulf the ones they care for. The series was inspired by the Artist’s research into a part of her ancestry, relating to the Bedouin and Tuareg cultures of the Desert.
