This series is one of seasons. The tree design could also be seen as the silhouette of a face, and so not only the seasons as experienced by the natural world, the world outside of ourselves; but also the world within, our emotions and thoughts change in balance with the world, both natural and man made. In addition to this there are also fluctuations that occur without our volition or the instigation of an outside event. Knowing which of these require response, action, or weathering is often one of the hardest dances we must learn.
